Our Story

Updated

Risachi Health is a veteran-owned sleep supplement company founded by Brett Fish and Joe Rocha, a United States Marine Corps veteran. Its melatonin-free sleep gummies combine 20mg CBN, 15mg CBG, and 500mg Montmorency tart cherry, and every batch is third-party lab tested with a published certificate of analysis. The science behind its journal is reviewed by a board-certified neurologist and sleep-medicine physician.

The afternoon everything stopped

For twenty years, Brett Fish lived with the throttle wide open. The kind of life that collects broken ribs, separated shoulders, a torn ACL, and dental work the way other people collect souvenirs.

Then came a single afternoon that took both of his hips.

Two rebuilt hips later, Brett learned what every athlete, veteran, and hard-driving person eventually learns the hard way: you don't recover during the workout, the mission, or the workday. You recover at night. Sleep isn't the thing you sacrifice to do more — it's the thing that decides whether your body rebuilds or breaks down.

That realization sent him down a rabbit hole he never came out of: sleep architecture, HRV, circadian timing, cannabinoids, hot and cold exposure. He ran the experiments on himself, tracked the data, and read the actual studies — not the headlines. His rule then is our rule now: every claim sourced, no hype, no miracle cures.

Building the thing we couldn't buy

When Brett looked at the sleep aisle, he saw shelves full of melatonin megadoses that knock you out by overriding the clock your body already runs — and leave you groggy for the part of the day you actually took them for.

He didn't build the answer alone. Co-founder Joe Rocha enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in June 1987, and during Operation Desert Storm hauled ammunition from the port of Al Jubail to Marines and coalition forces near the front lines. Like many veterans, Joe's service didn't end when he came home — he lives with service-connected PTSD and the chronic sleep challenges that come with it. Where Brett supplied the obsession, Joe supplied the standard — the Marine's discipline to do it right or not at all — and Risachi Health has been veteran-owned since day one.

Together they built the sleep gummy they couldn't find on any shelf: zero added melatonin. Each gummy pairs 20mg of CBN and 15mg of CBG with 500mg of Montmorency tart cherry — a concentrated 10:1 extract — to support the sleep your body is already trying to get. Every batch is third-party lab tested, with the COA published for anyone to read. Not because a regulation demanded it, but because "trust us" isn't an ingredient.

The science has a referee

A founder's story is a reason to start a company. It is not a reason to believe one. That's why the science behind Risachi's journal is reviewed by Dr. Bruce Rubinowicz, DO — a board-certified neurologist and sleep-medicine physician with more than three decades in practice.

Dr. Rubinowicz was the first fellowship-trained sleep specialist in Middle Tennessee, arriving when sleep medicine was still a frontier — and he built its infrastructure himself, opening the area's first freestanding accredited sleep labs. The protocols he ran there were forged during his fellowship training, then put to work on real patients, real nights, real data. Today he continues his neurology and sleep-medicine practice in South Florida.

Brett runs the n=1 experiments. Dr. Rubinowicz keeps the journal honest. If the research doesn't support a claim, we don't publish it.

Why "restorative," not "sedated"

Anyone can knock you out. Our bar is different: wake up feeling like you actually slept. Melatonin-free by design, lab-tested by principle, and built by people who cared about getting sleep right long before they had anything to sell.

Semper Fidelis.
